Our Team

Idol Hands is a home grown, grass roots organization. We are grateful for the dedication and talents offered up by our inspiring Board of Directors. With their guidance and direction, and the support of all of our partners, we are able to continue our work, constantly striving to add more meaning and greater impact in everything that we do, and every dream we pursue.

Elizabeth Clapp Originally from Newark, Delaware, Liz Clapp moved to North Carolina to attend Elon University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. She fell in love with the Tar Heel state and decided to stay. Liz, a National Board certified teacher, currently teaches special education in a public school in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her passion is recognizing and cultivating the unique strengths of every child she teaches. Working with Idol Hands’ “All Children are Artists” project she has gotten to see first-hand what a powerfully positive experience it can be for children to have a chance to showcase their talents. Liz lives with her husband Walker, and their entertaining pets, Tela and G. She enjoys running, reading, cooking (and eating) International food, and traveling.
